Review by hotel critic
Review of the Linden Hotel During my recent visit to London, I chose to stay at the Linden Hotel, primarily due to its enviable location near Wimbledon and the charming, quiet street it occupies. While the room was adequate for a short stay, it was the service experience that stood out, notably for both its highs and lows. I encountered a rather unprofessional receptionist who lacked warmth, an issue that was thankfully addressed when the manager stepped in. Their efforts to upgrade our room, however, felt forced and unnecessary, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. The hotel features several appealing amenities including an electric kettle, flat-screen TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The well-maintained common areas and a delightful private terrace in the rooms added character to the stay. The breakfast offered was satisfying, perfect for fueling up before exploring the nearby Kensington Gardens. The Linden Hotel presents a mix of luxury and practicality, with its prime location and essential amenities, making it a suitable choice for travellers seeking convenience at a reasonable value. It is worth considering, as long as guests are mindful of the service inconsistency.
